Could vaccine hesitancy derail Africa’s battle against COVID-19? | Inside Story

Developing nations in Africa have waited months for COVID-19 vaccines as richer countries hoarded supplies.

While that remains a problem, hundreds of millions of shots are arriving at last.

But only seven percent of Africa’s one point three billion population is fully inoculated.

Hesitancy is another problem, with widespread misinformation and scepticism about vaccines.

So what’s needed to boost vaccination rates?
