That’s created a bit of an obstacle for president Rodrigo Dueterte – who many had speculated– was hoping to run for the vice presidency.
But he has just announced he is retiring from politics altogether.
A recent poll had suggested many Filipinos disapproved of his reported bid for the vice presidency.
