UK faces backlash after cutting foreign aid spending

The UK has been accused of abandoning some of the world’s most vulnerable people after its decision to cut foreign aid spending by $5bn.
Britain is the world’s third-largest international donor after the US and Germany.
At least $140m will be slashed from the UK’s humanitarian budget for Yemen – as the British government prepares to host the G7 summit.
