There is rising anger in India’s smallest territory against a slew of new laws and regulations.
The government says it wants to develop the islands of Lakshadweep for tourism, but residents say the changes will destroy their way of life.
Critics of the government accuse it of trying to impose its Hindu nationalist agenda on Lakshadweep’s Muslim population.
