Myanmar’s junta leader has urged government workers to return to work after six days of mass demonstrations.
Min Aung Hlaing also asked people to avoid gatherings due to COVID-19.
But protesters are demanding the release of their elected leaders and that the junta step down.
Earlier, the United States announced it is imposing new sanctions on those behind the military takeover.
